from Tajik president
THE Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani on Sunday received a written message from President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon pertaining to bilateral relations between the two countries and the ways to boost and develop them. Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Dr Ahmed bin Hassan al Hammadi received the message during his meeting with Ambassador of Tajikistan to the State of Qatar HE Khisrav Sohibzoda in Doha. Cultural magazine Al Jasra has dedicated its 50th edition to Yemeni civilisation. In the magazine’s editorial, Ibrahim al Jaidah said the choice was made to salute the Yemeni people by stressing on their cultural and artistic creativity. He also welcomed new writers such as Youssef Ahmed who joined the magazine. Ahmed discussed his memories of teaching arts in Qatar school. Dr Ahmed Abdelmalik, who is also writing for the magazine for the first time, discussed Doha’s first drama forum. (QNA)
