Qatar Charity (QC), with the generous support of the people in Qatar, has equipped a school in the municipality of Mitrovica in Kosovo with a computer lab to enhance the educational standards of students.
The project seeks to create an attractive learning atmosphere for students to encourage them to continue with their education.
During his visit to QC’s office in Kosovo, Khalid Abdullah al Yafie, director of Project Management at QC, handed over 18 computers to Agim Bahtiri, mayor of Mitrovica, and local officials.
Mayor Bhattiri expressed his sincere gratitude and thanks for the gift by QC. “It is very essential for the students of this school to put the theories they learn into practice,” he said, appreciating the great humanitarian work being carried out by QC in Mitrovica.
Yafie said the computer lab was a gift from the people of Qatar to the people in Kosovo.
The mayor honoured Yafie with the municipality’s shield and a certificate of thanks in recognition of QC’s efforts in Kosovo.
The students and their parents expressed their great happiness in this project, which will contribute to the enhancement of the educational standard of the students.
QC has been implementing several projects in Kosovo to support the needy, especially orphans, persons with special needs, and low-income families.
The number of people sponsored by the charity has increased to more than 3,000. Over 4,500 students have graduated from the Qatar Training Center. Some 40 development projects have also been carried out in addition to building homes for the poor.
