Moscow: Portuguese football coach Jose Mourinho is rejoining Russian state broadcaster RT for coverage of the Champions League, the network said on Monday.
The 56-year-old was sacked as Manchester United manager in December and has since done punditry for Qatar-based beIN Sports. Mourinho, who last year helped RT cover the World Cup in Russia, is to provide predictions and post-game analysis in a biweekly show starting March 7 called “On the touchline with Jose Mourinho,” the network said in a statement. “Covering the World Cup for RT was a great experience,” Mourinho was quoted as saying.
“I am excited about the opportunity to continue my collaboration with this fantastic team.” Mourinho, who also managed Real Madrid and Chelsea, has won the Champions League twice as coach of Porto (2004) and Inter Milan (2010).
