Ambassador of Iran to Qatar HE Mohammad Ali Sobhani hosted a reception to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution and National Day of Iran, at the Diplomatic Club on Monday.
The reception was attended by Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Ali bin Ahmed al Kuwari, Minister of Municipality and Environment HE Abdulla bin Abdulaziz bin Turki al Subaie, Minister of State HE Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz al Kuwari, Chief of Protocol in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Ambassador Ibrahim Fakhro and Spokesperson HE Lulwah Rashid al Kahter.
Speaking on the occasion, the Iranian ambassador said Qatar and Iran share deep-rooted ties and strong links of blood, culture, religion and politics, adding that Qatar has been a hospitable host to thousands of Iranian residents.
Sobhani said that Iranian people have successfully overcome various problems, including the imposed war and the cruel sanctions and continue to work for advancement and excellence. He added that Iran is currently the 18th effective global economy, based on global economic indicators.
The event was conducted by renowned Iranian TV presenter Miss Elmira Samavati, specially flown from Tehran for the event.
