The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani on Saturday morning attended the second session of Munich Security Conference. The session, held on Day 2 of the conference, was addressed by German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
The session was attended by several heads of delegations attending the conference. In the afternoon, the Amir met with Speaker of the United States House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, on the sidelines of the 55th Munich Security Council.
The meeting dealt with reviewing bilateral relations and joint efforts to counter terrorism and its financing. Pelosi thanked the Amir for the role the Al Udeid airbase plays in that regard. The two sides also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments. More on Page 3
