Los Angeles: Bianca Andreescu pulled off the biggest upset of the tournament at Indian Wells after she rolled over Garbine Muguruza in a sensational 6-0, 6-1 triumph for a semi-final place on Wednesday.
The 18-year-old Canadian won nine games in a row before Muguruza grabbed her only game of the match with an ace.

Andreescu began the year outside 150 in the world rankings and will now enter the top-40 when she leaves California.
Andreescu moves on to face Elina Svitolina of the Ukraine after the sixth seed overcame Czech Marketa Vondrousova in three-sets with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 victory.
In the men’s draw, world number two Rafael Nadal continued his supreme form at the tournament by brushing aside Serbian Filip Krajinovic 6-3, 6-4 to enter the quarter-finals.
The three-time Indian Wells champion will meet Karen Khachanov in the last eight after the Russian 12th seed dismissed American John Isner 6-4, 7-6 (7-1).
Roger Federer remains on course to meet Nadal in the semi-finals after dispatching Britain’s Kyle Edmund in a comprehensive 6-1, 6-4 victory. (AFP)
