Qatar has condemned the repeated incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist Israeli religious groups under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
In a statement on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Qatar believes that such a gross provocation to the feelings of one and a half billion Muslims represents a systematic policy of the Israeli occupation forces that supports extremist religious groups. It reflects the racist exploitation of religion in order to pass and justify the agendas of the occupation forces and to change the status quo in the holy city, the statement said.
This constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and Security Council and international community’s decisions on the city of Jerusalem and the rights of Palestinians, it added. It said Qatar joins the Arab League in calling for support the steadfastness of the Palestinians.
