COLLEGE of the North Atlantic - Qatar (CNA-Q) hosted a delegation from the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). The team was on a visit to Doha to explore educational opportunities in country.
The American delegates first met with College President Dr Khalifa al Khalifa and toured CNA-Q’s state-of-the-art campus to see the engineering technical training facilities.
“Our focus is to form strong partnerships with like-minded international universities, to elevate the level of education offered at the college and in the country,” said Khalifa. “Both of our institutions have aligned values with respect to supporting student excellence in engineering, science and technology. We look forward to continuing the partnership and formalising our relationship.”
Purdue University’s School of Engineering and Technology Dean Dr David James Russomanno gave a presentation to members of the College Executive, along with high ranking officials from Qatar University and Community College of Qatar.
“As Indiana’s premier urban research university, we deeply appreciate our many international partners and look forward to expanding our global connections. To that end, we are excited to be in Qatar to start conversations and explore opportunities to discuss IUPUI with representatives of the Education sector in the State,” said IUPUI Chancellor Dr Nasser H Paydar. “The gestures of hospitality and discussions of collaboration have been enlightening and encouraging.” (TNN)
