A four-day legal training workshop was launched on Monday as part of the partnership between the Ministry of Justice and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
During the opening of the workshop, the Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Dr Issa Saad al Jafali al Nuaimi praised the partnership with UNODC in various fields, including among others protection of labour rights and combating human trafficking.
He urged the participants to take advantage of this workshop and the rich legal experience it will provide in various areas of interest to Qatari legal practitioners.
A number of legal staff in various fields are expected to benefit from this workshop in terms of enriching their knowledge and the necessary legal expertise to improve their performance at local, regional and international levels.
This workshop is the first phase of several stages that will witness the presentation of an integrated legal programme for legal researchers in the Ministry of Justice. (QNA)
