More than 500 companies from 34 countries are lined up to make the 16th edition of the Project Qatar exhibition “the broadest and the most inclusive to date” as its doors open in Doha on April 29.
More than 20,000 visitors are expected to attend the three-day event at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, which has set aside 25,000 square metres exclusively for showrooms. International companies account for 70 percent of the participating firms — a rate only matched at global exhibitions. Chinese and Italian firms will have a strong presence at the expo this time. More than 90 Chinese companies and 20 Italian firms will participate in the event.
To be held under the patronage of Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani, the expo this year is set to be the most diverse and comprehensive edition so far.
