The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani held a telephone conversation with Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena on Monday evening.
During the phone call, the Amir expressed sincere condolences to the President and the people of Sri Lanka on the victims of the explosions at churches and hotels wishing the injured speedy recovery.
The Amir also condemned the horrific crime which was aimed at destabilising security and stability and terrorising the innocents, stressing that Qatar stands ready to assist Sri Lanka in its efforts to combat terrorism and extremism.
The Sri Lankan president thanked the Amir
for his phone call and condolences and for the readiness of Qatar to support Sri Lanka in its
efforts to combat such attacks. (QNA)
