SPEAKER of the Shura Council HE Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaidal Mahmoud met separately on Tuesday with Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China HE Li Chen and Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the State of Qatar HE Syed Ahsan Raza Shah. During the meetings, they discussed bilateral relations between Qatar and their countries and the ways to bolster and develop them, particularly in the parliamentary area. The meetings also reviewed a number of topics of common interest.
The Chinese and Pakistani ambassadors praised the great success of the 140th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), held in Doha in April under the chairmanship of the speaker of the council. The meetings were attended by a number of Shura Council officials.
