Qatar Fuel (Woqod) on Sunday opened two fuel stations, one fixed at Onaiza and a mobile station at
Al Mearad.
The opening comes in line with the company’s ongoing expansion plans to serve every area in Qatar, Woqod said in a statement.
Woqod CEO Saad Rashid al Muhannadi said, “We are pleased to re-open fixed petrol station in Onaiza after its renovation and expansion, and a new mobile station in Al Mearad.
“Woqod aspires to expand its petrol station network in the country to meet the rising demand for petroleum products and achieve the goal of providing customers with access to best-in-class products and services at their convenience and comfort.”
He said, “Woqod has recently accelerated the construction of new petrol stations to meet the fuel and energy needs of the country. “Our team would like to extend their gratitude to all concerned government and private entities that contributed to the completion of this project.”
After expansion, Onaiza station is now spread over an area of 3,900 square meters and has four lanes with 12 dispensers instead of four dispensers and two lanes prior expansion.
The fuel station offers round-the-clock services to residents, and include Sidra convenience store, LPG cylinder sales, and sale of gasoline and diesel products for light vehicles.
Muhannadi said, “The re-opening of Onaiza station is included in Woqod’s plans of opening 30 new petrol stations in 2019.
“As part of its strategic expansion plan, Woqod is targeting the achievement of a total of 134 fuel stations by the end of 2020.”
