The Shura Council’s Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee, at a meeting held under the chairmanship of its Rapporteur HE Nasser bin Rashid bin Saria al Kaabi on Sunday, continued to examine the draft law regulating the receipt and disbursement of Zakat funds. The meeting was attended by Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs HE Dr Ghaith bin Mubarak al Kuwari. The committee decided to submit its recommendations to the Shura Council.
The committee also studied a draft law on the enactment of a law to combat money laundering and terrorism financing. The committee then decided to complete its study at its next meeting.
