QNA Doha Minister of Education and Higher Education Mohammed bin Abdulwahed al Hammadi on Thursday said the ministry has prepared new regulations for schools that are in the final stages of the legislative process. He said the new regulations will address many of the current articles that were put during the launch of independent school. The focus this year is on serving school employees and teachers, he added. The minister said this during meeting with teachers of Umm Salal Mohammed Model Independent School for Boys. He stressed on the importance of adhering to the directives of the ministry in order to avoid increasing amount of written reports and increasing the burdens on teachers in general. He said the reports that do not provide real benefits should be avoided to focus on the academic side. The minister also discussed the importance of facilitating cooperation and the relationship between school administrations and teachers. On school curriculum, the minister stressed that they will make use of that feedback to improve the curriculum in the future. He said the assistant teacher jobs will only be cancelled for the second grade, with the ministry using them to plug the demand for assistant teachers at other levels such as early education and first grade.
