Qatar has condemned the death of a Turkish Consulate personnel in Iraq’s Erbil in an armed attack on a restaurant in the city.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of starting an investigation into the attack and presenting the perpetrators to justice in order to ensure they are held accountable.
The statement renewed Qatar’s firm stance, rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of the motives and reasons. It also offered Qatar’s condolences to the families of the victims, the government, and the people of Turkey.
The Turkish diplomat was killed after gunmen entered a restaurant in Erbil where he was dining and opened fire.
