THE Italian Ambassador to Qatar HE Pasquale Salzanohas expressed his sadness over the passing away of Italian world champion of skeet shooting Roberto Scalzone.
Scalzone was also well-known in Qatar for being the coach of the Qatari national team. The statement released by the ambassador said: “We are very saddened by the loss of Roberto, a great sportsman who dedicated his life to skeet shooting at international level.He was a great friend to both Italian and Qatari communities.”
The statement added: “Thanks to his professionalism and talent, many young Qataris have become passionate about this discipline. I would like to convey heartfelt condolences to his family and to all his many friends in Italy and Qatar in this time of sorrow.”
