Indian Sports Centre honoured the members of the Indian volleyball team which visited Qatar on the way to the Asian Championship, to be held in Tehran from September 13 to 21. The Indian team played friendly matches with Qatar, China and Australia during its stay in Doha. HE P Kumaran, the Indian Ambassador to Qatar, honoured members of the Indian team and VFI Secretary-General Ramavtar Singh Jhakhar. ISC President Nilangshu Dey welcomed the team and highlighted the ISC role in promoting sports in the expatriate Indian community in Qatar. ISC General Secretary Habib un Nabi conducted the programme and Ashik Mohammed, Secretary of Volleyball and Basketball at ISC, proposed the vote of thanks.
