QATAR Manpower Solutions Company (WISA), in cooperation with the General Directorate of Civil Defence, hosted a fire safety and fire fighting training for domestic workers.
The training aimed at enhancing the skills of domestic workers to better handle fire hazards households might face.
The workshop comes as a part of WISA’s training plan to ensure the safety of its employees and customers.
WISA is providing many other training programmes to help the domestic workers give their best to the community, which include hospitality, occupational health and safety, languages and communication and Qatari Culture and traditions courses.
Manish Midha, operations director at WISA, said that such programmes add a great value to the domestic helps’ work. Midha added that WISA will continue to work with government and private organisations to enhance the skills of the workers.
WISA was established under the decree of His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Industry No 391 of 2018 for facilitating recruitment of domestic workers. It provides services according to the community’s urgent and part time needs. The company also aims to cover part time needs of domestic workers and raise their level of skills.
