Hassad Food to manage three Central Markets Sep 23, 2019 0 1234 12345 Under the directives of the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani, Hassad Food has been assigned to manage the three Central Markets in Al Wakrah, Um Salal and A’Sailiyah. Hassad has formed a new subsidiary, Aswaq for Food Facilities Management Company, to manage the central markets in coordination with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.Hassad CEO Mohamed Badr al Sadah said, “It’s our pleasure to announce the establishment of the new company, Aswaq for Food Facilities Management. The company will develop and manage all the three central markets, ensuring the needs of the traders, producers and customers are met.”Mohamed Ghaneem al Kubaisi, general manager of Aswaq, commented, “We will give priority to local produce in the central markets with the aim of achieving the national vision and contributing to the country’s self-sufficiency efforts.”The central markets are scheduled to open before end of the year. Aswaq has already outlined the allocation process of stalls, which will be announced soon.
