THE State of Qatar and the Republic of Lithuania have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for holding political consultations on issues of common concern between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
The MoU was signed by Secretary-General of the Foreign Ministry HE Dr Ahmed bin Hassan al Hammadi and Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Neris Germanas. Meanwhile, the first round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Qatar and Lithuania was held in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius on Thursday.
Hammadi led the Qatari side while Germanas led the Lithuanian side during the consultations. The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and the means of supporting and developing them, in addition to a host of issues of common concern.
