Qatar and the US have renewed their commitment to the existing strategic partnership and the continuity of cooperation in combating terrorism in accordance with the related international resolution.
This came during third Qatari-American Dialogue on Counter-Terrorism held in Washington, DC.
Qatar’s delegation was headed by Chairman of the National Counter Terrorism Committee Major-General Eng Abdulaziz al Ansari, while the US side was headed by the Coordinator for Counterterrorism in the US Department of State Nathan Sales.
The dialogue sessions at the US Department of State focused on four key themes, including regional threats; strategic partnerships; topics related to anti-terrorism, anti-money laundering and terrorist financing laws and aviation security and information exchange, as well as the exchange of experiences on the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Positive spirit and constructive outlook between the two sides prevailed during the dialogue sessions.
