Indian Ambassador to Qatar HE P Kumaran has called on Indian community organisations to help community members to acquire more knowledge and skills to have a competitive edge in the job market. He was addressing Indian community members while opening the new office premises of Qatar Indian Islahi Centre, a prominent Indian expatriate organistion in Qatar.
The ambassador pointed out that the current median age in India is 30 which means half the population of India is below 30 years. “This makes India one of the youngest countries, having the advantage of an increased working population, and this demographic potential offers India an edge which could further contribute to the development of the country,” said the ambassador.
President of Qatar Indian Islahi Centre KN Sulaiman Madani presided over the function. Addressing the gathering, he said that moving to a more conveniently located office premises will help serve the community much better.
VT Faisal (CIC), Sameer Eramala, Hyder Chungathara (Incas), Umar Banish (Samskruthi), Aboobacker Al Qasimi (KSC), Khaleel AP (Unity), Shanavas (IFF), Muhsin P (ICC), Ashhad Faizy (Focus Qatar), Ahmed Kutty Madani, Shameer Valiyaveettil, and Naseer Panoor also spoke at the event.
