‘Works underway for tender of projects to serve 12 areas’

(Continued from Page 1) On his part, Manager of Road Projects Department at Ashghal Eng Saud al Tamimi said Ashghal is taking over the development of new and existing citizens’ residential subdivisions as a top priority, and thus works are ongoing for tender of projects to serve 12 areas in the state covering 16,900 subdivisions, including Al Wajbah East, Duhail, Umm Lekhba, Rawdat al Jahhaniya, Semaisma and Jeryan Najima among others. The new three-level interchange is the first of its kind in Qatar and it includes nine tunnels to provide free flow traffic. The 6.1km long interchange consists of three to four lanes in each direction to accommodate about 20,000 vehicles per hour in both directions. Ashghal is also on the verge of launching similar projects to serve 12 regions in the state to serve more than 16,900 subdivisions in these areas and the projects are in the stage of tendering and awarding.
