NeXTFairs, the organiser of Build Your House 2020 exhibition, has announced that the Public Works Authority (Ashghal), will be the official partner of the Build Your House 2020 Exhibition.
Under the patronage of HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani, Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior, the inaugural edition of Build Your House 2020 will take place from March 2 to 4, 2020 at Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC).
Ashghal will have a dedicated pavilion at the exhibition, which will showcase its latest developments and projects in Qatar related to housing requirements. Besides the pavilion, Ashghal will deliver six workshops throughout the exhibition.
Committed to an integrated plan to develop the infrastructure of the citizens’ lands in vital parts including the south of Wukeir, Al Ebb, Leabaib, AlKreiteyat, West Mueither, and other areas, Ashghal is set to serve more than 16,500 housing vouchers.
They are also awarding projects to serve 12 areas with 16,900 housing vouchers, and continues the work progress in ten residential areas as part of developing roads and infrastructure for citizens’ lands, and prepare those lands in terms of roads, waste drainage, rain water drainage, street lighting systems, smart transportation, and street planning. Those services will leave huge impact on the residents’ welfare.
Rawad Sleem, Managing Director of NeXTfairs, said, “We thank all government authorities and private companies for their continuous support. Our exhibition will be a central platform for Ashghal to inform people about its latest projects and future plans that will have a direct impact on people’s choice of lands to build their new houses.”
Sleem added, “The Ministry of Administrative Development Labour and Social Affairs, represented by the Housing Department, will have a private booth at the exhibition, where experts will inform visitors about different housing designs and the varied services of the department, through all stages, from submitting housing applications to receiving approvals. Informative brochures will also be distributed at the booth.”
Other partners and sponsors include Kahramaa as Strategic Partner and Tadmur Trading as the Founding Partner. The Silver Sponsors of the event are Skyline Engineering Consultants, New Vision Contracting and Al Jaber AC & Lift Systems.
Thanks to the strong and continuous support from ministries and government entities, exhibitors are showing keen interest in the exhibition and the exhibit space is being booked at a rapid pace.
SME’s and other local businesses are expressing their interest to participate in the event, promote their products and services before a local and international audience, and contribute to the success of the exhibition.
In addition to the exhibition, ‘Build Your House 2020’ will host free seminars, educational and specialized workshops that will target Qatari nationals and will be presented by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, Ministry of Economy and Commerce, Ministry of Social Development, Ashghal, Kahramaa, Qatar Development Bank, and others.
These workshops aim to provide Qatari Nationals with the latest information about modern technologies and building materials used in interior design, architecture and construction.
This will add great value especially for those planning to build a new house, renovate their existing house, or add to the current development. Participants will also get to explore new and smart methods to build or renovate their houses in cost-effective, modern, stylish ways.
They can start from choosing the consultant and contractor, who will provide essential information such as the initial steps of planning, budgeting, designing, permits, and contracting, through to the actual delivery of their dream house, cost-effectively, and sustainably.
Workshops topics will include ‘Housing Loans and the Process Involved’, ‘Budgeting for Housing Projects,’ ‘Construction and Renovation Permits and Legal Constraints’, ‘ Tarsheed Initiative towards Qatar 2030, ‘Planning, Design and Architectural Plans for a Residence, and other related topics.
