Kinshasa: Armed attackers have killed 24 people in Congo, the governor of north-eastern Ituri province said on Saturday.
Machetes and guns were used to kill the civilians, and soldiers were called to secure the region following the attack, Governor Jean Bamanisa said. The assailants attacked the village of Digeni on Friday night, the official added. (DPA)
