Qatar has put in place a “new laboratory technique” to conduct a greater number of coronavirus tests and this might lead to a surge in the confirmed cases daily, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said on Monday. This will help in early detection of infected cases and then limiting the spread of the virus, the ministry added.
The MoPH said it is continuing to expand the departments of research and investigation and to conduct the necessary examinations for all citizens coming from travel, in addition to all individuals involved in the infected cases. The ministry called on all members of society to adhere to guidelines on limiting the spread of the virus. (TNN)
