Qatar on Wednesday registered 153 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, taking the total cases to 2,210, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced. In a statement, the MoPH said 28 more people recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 178.
The ministry said some of the new cases are among the travellers who came to Qatar from virus-hit countries. Some are contacts, including citizens and residents, of those tested positive earlier. All the new cases have been placed under quarantine and are receiving the necessary medical care, it said. (TNN)
