Qatar Attorney-General HE Dr Ali bin Fetais al Marri met with the UK Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor, CPS Proceeds of Crime, Gary Balch, on Monday.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual concern and ways to enhance cooperation in the legal and judicial fields.
The meeting came on the sidelines of the opening of a training course organised by the Public Prosecutor in cooperation with his counterpart in the UK on judicial assistance and the proceeds of crime and extradition margin.
During the session, a number of specialists presented lectures to prosecutors on ways and means to facilitate judicial cooperation between the UK and Qatar in the field of recovery of funds and extradition as part of the consolidation of the legal and judicial relations between the two friendly countries.
The workshop was attended by a number of specialists in each of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior, the financial information unit in Qatar Central Bank, the Supreme Judicial Council and the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority.
