THE state-of-the-art 100-bedded Turkish Hospital on C Ring Road is set to open its doors to public on January 17, according to the Managing Partner-CEO Dr Volkan Uygunucarlar.
Addressing a press conference recently,Dr Volkan Uygunucarlar said:"Our mission at the Turkish Hospital is to bring the highest international standards in healthcare to Qatar and deliver the highest quality health services through compassionate care and utmost responsibility."
The Turkish Hospital, a joint venture between Taleb group of Qatar and Ruzgar group of Turkey, boasts of five operation theatres (OT), 14 beds with Intensive Care Unit (ICU) facilities as well as angiography, radiology, laboratories and diagnostic services. The hospital is geared to tackle all sorts of emergencies around the clock.
According to Dr Volkan, the doctors working in Turkish Hospital are highly qualified and experienced ones brought from Turkey to work here full time. He added:"We have tied up with the leading health insurance companies of Qatar for the benefit of our patients. We are also trying to rope in leading corporate houses to provide all sorts of medical services. However, our foremost concern is to provide highest standards of medical care."
"The commercial angle is important but it is secondary for us. My primary job is to think like a doctor and to treat patients as humans and not customers. We have designed our systems in such a way that there is connectivity between departments so that our patient could get comprehensive attention and medical care in the shortest possible time," Dr Volkan said.
"The building of this hospital was designed in consultation with the team of medical doctors so as to achieve the maximum efficiency in terms of infection control and hospital integration. Our hospital follows the highest international standards. Besides, we have our own stringent checks and balances to achieve maximum efficiency," he added.
