Parts of Qatar on Saturday received scattered, moderate rainfall, with Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) forecasting continued rain and thundershowers accompanied by strong winds in the country until Monday morning.
"The country is still under the influence of a state of atmospheric instability due to an upper level low pressure system, which is expected to continue until the morning of Monday," the QMD said.
While forecasting partly cloudy to cloudy skies, the QMD said scattered, light to moderate rain was likely in most areas of the country and heavy rain at times accompanied by thunder.
According to the QMD, the intensity of the unstable weather condition is expected to intensify today, accompanied by strong Northeasterly winds with speed reaching up to 25 knots at places.
The sky was overcast throughout Saturday with poor visibility in some areas.
A minimum temperature of 17 degrees Celsius is forecast in Dukhan today.
