Hanoi THE TRIAL of human rights activist Nguyen Van Oai, scheduled to begin Monday in central Vietnam, has been postponed, his lawyer said."The court informed me about the postponement of the trial yesterday,"defence lawyer Ha Huy Son told dpa on Monday. It was unclear who requested the delay or when the trial, set to take place in a court in Nghe An province, would begin. Oai, 36, has been charged with"resisting persons in the performance of their official duties"and"failing to execute judgement,"after allegedly tearing a notice asking him to comply with the terms of a house arrest order.
