With the lifting of lockdown, life and business in Industrial Area are slowing inching back to some form of normality.
People can be seen on the streets that had worn a deserted look a few days ago. Currency exchange centres have resumed operations and hypermarkets are open at some sections of Industrial Area.
Industrial Area streets from 1 to 32 were under lockdown for more than a month ever since a large number of people there tested positive for COVID-19. The phased lifting of the lockdown began a few weeks ago, with the first phase seeing the reopening of Streets 1, 2 and Al Wakalat on April 22.
The remaining streets were reopened on May 6, but entry and exit tightly regulated as a precaution against the spread of COVID-19.
