The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) has said no Eid Al-Fitr prayer will be held in mosques in Qatar, except for at the Imam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab mosque.
The Eid prayer at the Imam Muhammad mosque will be limited to 40 people, including imams, muezzins and mosque's employees.
The ministry said the closure of mosques and the suspension of congregational prayers including the five obligatory prayers and Friday prayers will continue.
These measures were part of Qatar's efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19.
