Jinnah was born on December 25, 1876 in Karachi. After obtaining his school education from Karachi, he did his Bar at Law from Lincoln’s Inn, London, UK in 1895 and became the youngest Indian to be called to the Bar.
Upon return from the UK, he started law practice in Bombay and in a short period of three years, he established himself as one of the most successful lawyers of the country.
Paying rich tributes and underlining the leadership qualities of Jinnah, the Community Welfare Attaché at the Pakistan Embassy, Waheed Ullah Khan, said: "December 25 is celebrated every year by Pakistanis to remember their great leader for his selfless struggle for Pakistan. Quaid-e-Azam’s life epitomizes all the qualities of a great leader. We need to follow the ideals of Quaid-e-Azam because that is the only way forward for Pakistan.”
Well-known local vocalist Jamshaid Bajwa regaled the audience by presenting a poem ‘Lab Pe Aati Hai Dua’ written by Pakistan’s national poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
Qaiser Anwar proposed the vote of thanks and thanked the heads of community forums and community members for making the event a great success.
