LONDON: Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of State for Defense Affairs HE Dr Khalid bin Mohammed AI Attiyah, met with UK Secretary of State for Defence HE Grant Shapps, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defence in the British capital of London.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed topics of mutual interest and ways to enhance and develop them.
The latest developments in the region, especially the Israeli war on Gaza, were also discussed during the meeting. The role of Qatar in mediation efforts was highlighted while stressing ceasefire, and stopping the war in Gaza.
The meeting was attended by Qatar Amiri Air Forces Commander Maj Gen (Pilot) Jasim bin Mohammed Al-Mannai, Qatari Military Attache to the United Kingdom Brig Mohammed Ali Al-Fadhala, and several senior officials of both sides.
