Plans to promote Qatari identity, heritage in private schools set in motion

The Private Education Affairs Sector of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, represented by the Department of Private Schools Affairs, and the Department of Heritage and Identity at the Ministry of Culture, held several meetings to discuss cooperation in the implementation of programmes on the Qatari heritage and identity in private schools and kindergartens during the 2022-23 academic year.The meetings reviewed a proposed plan that includes activities and programmes in the field of identity and heritage, and mechanisms to implement them in private schools and kindergartens, to a detailed study of the proposal, while continuing efforts to follow up on the development of a comprehensive plan for its implementation in the next academic year. The joint meetings between the officials of the two sides follow a previous meeting chaired by Director of the Heritage and Identity Department Sheikha Najla bint Faisal Al Thani and Director of the Private Schools Affairs Department Rashid Ahmed Al Ameri, where an employee from each side was allocated to coordinate and follow up the process to serve the common goals of the two parties.
