DOHA: His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani inaugurated the Strategic Fighter Aircraft Wing No. (5) Ababil (F15 QA), of the Qatari Emiri Air Force, at Al Udeid Air Base on Tuesday morning.
His Highness the Amir toured the wing during which he listened to a briefing on the newly manufactured Ababil F15 QA aircraft project, its combat capabilities, and the most prominent methods of modern technology used in it. His Highness the Amir also viewed the immediate take-off building (air-to-air) and (air-to-surface) building and the pilots' building, in addition to visiting the aircraft depot and maintenance building.
