DOHA: His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a phone call from President of the United States of America HE Joe Biden, on Friday.
During the call, they discussed the latest developments in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories.
In this regard, President Biden extended thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Amir for the diplomatic and humanitarian efforts and endeavours of Qatar regarding the situation in Gaza.
For his part, His Highness the Amir underlined strengthening regional and international cooperation to achieve an immediate ceasefire, spare the blood of civilians in Gaza and protect them, and keep the crossings open for the sustainable entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip in order to promote peace and stability in the Middle East region. He also praised the role of the United States.
The two sides also discussed the Qatar-US strategic relations and means of boosting and developing them.
