In a remarkable display of community engagement and collaboration, the Indian Embassy, in association with Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF), organised a special consular camp at Imara Healthcare, Asian Town, on Friday, February 9. The event, initially scheduled from 9am to 11am, saw an enthusiastic turnout, with more than 224 individuals availing themselves of the various consular services offered.
Despite the camp officially commencing at 9am, the dedicated ICBF team began operations at 7:30am to accommodate the influx of attendees. Such was the demand that, the event extended beyond its scheduled end time, concluding at 1:30pm. Embassy officials displayed commendable patience and efficiency, ensuring that, the last applicant received the necessary assistance and guidance.
The comprehensive range of services provided included application for new passports for newborns, passport renewals, police clearance certificates (PCC), and certificate attestation services. This initiative was particularly beneficial for residents in and around Asian Town and the Industrial Area, who often face transportation or work-related challenges on weekdays.
The success of the camp can be attributed to meticulous planning and seamless execution, spearheaded by the ICBF team. Vice President Deepak Shetty, alongside General Secretary Varkey Boban, Secretary Muhammad Kunhi, Managing Committee members Zareena Ahad, Abdul Raoof Kondotty, Shankar Goud, and Advisory Council Member Shashidar Hebbal, were invaluable in ensuring the smooth functioning of the camp.
