DOHA: The Meteorology Department has issued a cautionary alert for adverse weather conditions expected on Monday. According to the department's daily weather report, inland areas are anticipated to experience cloudy skies with the possibility of moderate to heavy rain, potentially accompanied by thunderstorms initially. There is a significant risk of thundery rain coupled with strong winds, leading to reduced horizontal visibility in some areas.

Offshore regions are forecast to be partly to mostly cloudy with intermittent periods of rain, possibly thunderous. The report underscores the likelihood of thundery rain accompanied by strong winds and rough seas.

In inland areas, the prevailing wind direction is expected to be northeasterly to northwesterly, ranging from 12 to 22 knots, with gusts up to 35 knots during thundery rain episodes. Offshore, winds are forecasted to be northwesterly to northeasterly, ranging from 6 to 16 knots, with gusts up to 25 knots during thundery rain occurrences.

Horizontal visibility is predicted to be reduced to 4 to 8 kilometers or less during thundery rain episodes both inland and offshore.

Sea conditions are expected to be moderately rough, with inland sea states ranging from 1 to 3 feet, occasionally rising to 5 feet. Offshore, sea states are projected to be between 2 to 4 feet, with occasional heights reaching 8 feet during thundery rain spells.
