DOHA: The 36th meeting of the directors of drug control agencies in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries began on Tuesday, at the St Regis Hotel in The Pearl.
Hosted by the Ministry of Interior of Qatar, the meeting will continue until Wednesday.
Colonel Rashid Sareea Al Kaabi, Director General of Drug Enforcement at the Ministry of Interior, chaired the meeting, while Qatar's delegation was led by Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Abdullah Al Khater, Director of the Department of Studies and International Affairs at the General Directorate of Drug Enforcement.
The meeting focuses on various topics aimed at enhancing cooperation in drug control advancing the GCC efforts to achieve desired goals. It includes a review of the experiences and plans of participating countries to address the issue of drugs.
