DOHA: Qatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail) has announced that the Sport City Station in Doha Metro has been awarded the Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS) Platinum Certificate for sustainable operations from the Gulf Organization for Research and Development (GORD).

With this significant accomplishment, Sport City Station on the Gold Line of the Doha Metro has become the third station in the network to attain the prestigious GSAS Platinum certification for sustainable operation, following the achievements of Education City Station in October 2022 and Al Bidda Station in September 2023.
