The historic Old Doha Port which has undergone a remarkable transformation is poised to host the prestigious Qatar Boat Show 2024, from November 6 to 9.

This monumental event is the result of a collaborative partnership between the Old Doha Port and Gulf Marine Services, aiming to unite the world in the heart of Qatar.

Anticipation fills the air as this distinguished event gathers local, regional, and international shipbuilding brands, companies, boat owners, and maritime enthusiasts alike. Set against the backdrop of Qatar’s 2030 National Vision, the Qatar Boat Show seeks to boost economic growth and promote tourism through a showcase of cutting-edge maritime innovations and captivating entertainment.

The press event held on Tuesday provided a glimpse into the splendour of the upcoming Qatar Boat Show, drawing international and regional participants, media representatives, and prominent figures from around the globe.  The event began with an opening speech by Mohammed Al Mulla, accompanied by an awe-inspiring video presentation that set the tone for an extraordinary evening.

Presented by Mohammed Al Attawan and Ibrahim Farhat, a special introductory presentation about the Qatar Boat Show paved the way for a series of engaging panel discussions.  A panel discussion titled ‘An Overview of the Yachting Sector in the Middle East’, featured esteemed leaders such as Slim Tyson, the Managing Director of Yachts1, Nabil Al Jamal, the Middle East Regional Director of Benetti,  Farouk Nafzi, the Chief Marketing Officer of Feadship, and Paris Palomez, the Marketing Manager of Oceanco. This insightful discussion highlighted the collaborative values contributing to the success of this event.

Following this, another panel discussion titled ‘An Overview of the Yachting Sector in Qatar’ featured Nasser Issa Al Nasser, the Investment Development Director at Qatar Free Zones Authority, Badr Al Mahmoud, the Business Development and Strategy Director at the Old Doha Port, and Rego George, the Exhibition and Events Manager at Gulf Marine Services.

The Qatar Boat Show 2024 proudly boasts strategic partnerships with the Ministry of Transport as a strategic partner, Qatar Tourism as the destination partner, Qanat Qatar as the media partner, Qatar Ports as a gold sponsor, and Q-Terminals as a silver sponsor.

With expectations soaring high, the Qatar Boat Show 2024 is set to welcome over 20,000 visitors and 495 participants featuring a diverse range of maritime brands. This exceptional event will showcase 95 boats and yachts on land and in water, amidst unprecedented activities celebrating the maritime sector and its opulence in Doha.

Mohammed Al Mulla, the CEO of the Old Doha Port, expressed his excitement for this monumental event, stating, “The Qatar Boat Show 2024 is a strategic milestone aligning with the long-term national vision of the Old Doha Port. It reflects our efforts and the importance of fruitful partnerships among various stakeholders to drive economic growth and enhance tourism in our country. This grand event will showcase the maritime domain and unprecedented luxury in the city of Doha.”

Spanning across an expansive area of 800,000sqm, the Old Doha Port features 450 marinas suitable for boats of up to 160 meters in length.
