Tribune News NetworkDohaQatar and the US have discussed ways to strengthenin cooperation to achieve regional security and stability.This came as the Qatar— US Military Consultative Commission held its periodic meetings at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defence at Al Udaid Air Base.The meetings were chaired from the Qatari side by Staff Brigadier General Abdelaziz Saleh Al Sulaiti, Head of International Military Cooperation Authority, and from the US side by Mrs Dana Stroul, Deputy Assistant Secretary Of Defense For Middle East Affairs at the Department of Defense. During the meetings, topics of mutual interest for both sides, and ways of strengthening and developing them and their importance in achieving regional security and stability, were discussed. Additionally, the two sides discussed the participation of the US in securing World Cup Qatar 2022, and military sales programmes. Many high-ranking officers from Qatar Armed Forces and US forces attended the meeting.
