BEDAYA Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (Bedaya Center), a joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank and Silatech, through its Dukan Bedaya initiative, took part in the National Sport Day at the Katara Cultural Village.
This year, Dukan Bedaya showcased 25 health and sports related projects during the National Sport Day.
The participation of Bedaya Center in the National Sport Day was in line with its mission to support startups working in the health and sports sectors.
The 25 projects were displayed around the Katara Corniche or near the Dukan Bedaya. Furthermore, the Bedaya Center team distributed free health fresh juices to all visitors and participants and invited Katara visitors to dribble and shoot at the mini basketball court established for the occasion near the Dukan.
The participating projects varied between health and sports this year under the umbrella of Bedaya Center. The list of participants included 'Ever Green Organics' - the first full vegetarian caf` in Qatar, offering vegetarian dishes and many options for customers with fresh gluten- and sugar-free foods. 'Mrabrab' - the Qatari mobile application for smart phones that helps users to monitor their sporting activities and their overall health was also one of the participating projects. 'Memos Factory' - which combines the healthy traditional hospitality with a global touch, whose products are known to be free of preservatives and artificial ingredients, showcased their products to the public. In addition to this, Al Reem for dairy products which manufactures all its products from 100 percent fresh cow milk also displayed their products.
Other notable participants were 'The Cage Sport,' the sports centre specialised in training in various combat games for all age groups, 'Juice N it' - the fresh juice outlet specialised in the field of organic juices using the latest methods and technologies in this field, and 'Jaraa' - the importer of a variety of high quality food and beverage products from Macedonia.
Adding to the list of participating projects was 'Raw ME' - which provides a variety of food and beverage products and specialised services to help community members to pursue a healthy lifestyle. 'BMI Fitness' - the 5-star fitness club showcased its upscale services through its new facilities and its independent women section, and 'Doesn't stop' - the burger wagon displayed its grilled dishes which included healthy items low on calories with fresh vegetables.
'Magic Cake' specialised in diverse type of healthy cakes, donuts, ice cream and sweets were also a part of the displayed projects. 'Alkalive' the first Qatari Alkaline water factory in Qatar showcased its products which depend on natural substances free of toxins and chemicals.
'Regym' - the specialised centre in designing healthy diets using latest technologies to help its clients in adopting a healthy lifestyle, was among the participants under Bedaya's umbrella. 'Ground Caf`' - which combines the culture of coffee and public culture in a place that encourages visitors to communicate with one another. 'Hazaya' - the multi services provider and excelling in healthy hospitality services was also part of the event.
On this occasion, Reem al Sowaidi, General Manager of Bedaya Center, said:"We strive to participate annually in the activities of the National Sport Day as it represents a moral support for all members of society to adopt a healthy lifestyle. This year, the startups specialising in health food and sports had a unique opportunity and a platform to showcase their products and projects to the public."
