THE Ali Bin Ali Group is showcasing four famous jewellery and watches brands for the first time in Doha to continue its tradition of being a top exhibitor at the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE), the Group's vice-chairman has said.
In an exclusive interview with Qatar Tribune, Ali Bin Ali Group Vice-Chairman and EVP Nabeel Ali bin Ali said the participation of Ali Bin Ali Luxury in the 15th edition of DJWE is marked by maiden display of Jaeger-LeCoultre, Damiani, Riviere and Lorraine Schwartz brands which were added to the Group recently.
While Jaeger-LeCoultre is a famous Swiss luxury watch brand, he said the Group is happy to see Italian brand Damiani on board this year.
"We are proud to introduce jewellery designed by American jeweller Lorraine Schwartz this year. Schwartz is famous for designing jewellery for red-carpet-heading celebrities," he said.
Besides these new additions, Nabeel said, all other famous brands of Ali Bin Ali Luxury are being displayed at the exhibition.
He said the Group is occupying the same exhibition area as the last edition to deliver an unparalleled experience to those who appreciate the finer things in life.
Demand for luxury jewellery and watches in the Qatari market is growing at a decent pace, he said, adding that the initial impact of the blockade on this sector is over.
"We went over it. The power of spending is there. Yes, we are in the same trend. We are not affected," he said.
"We see a very good demand for our luxury products this year. Although the exhibition has just begun, we expect a good turnout this year as well," Nabeel said.
He said the outlook for luxury segment in Qatar is quite bright.
