DOHA: The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast for Sunday predicting partly cloudy to cloudy weather with a chance of scattered rain along the coast and at sea.

According to the department, coastal areas are expected to experience variable winds initially, with speeds of less than 5 knots, later shifting to northwesterly to northeasterly directions at speeds ranging between 5 and 15 knots. Meanwhile, sea conditions will be accompanied by suspended dust and will also see northwesterly to northwesterly winds, blowing at speeds between 5 and 15 knots, with occasional gusts reaching up to 20 knots in certain areas.

Horizontal visibility is anticipated to range between 4 and 8 kilometres along the coast, potentially decreasing to 3 kilometres or less during rainfall. Similarly, visibility at sea is projected to be between 4 and 9 kilometres.

Wave heights along the coast are forecasted to range from 1 to 3 feet, while at sea, waves are expected to reach heights between 2 and 4 feet, with occasional heights of up to 6 feet in certain areas.

Residents in Doha can anticipate a maximum temperature of 30 degrees Celsius amidst these weather conditions.

As such, residents and seafarers are advised to stay updated on weather developments and exercise caution while navigating coastal and sea areas.
