ASTER DM Healthcare, a leading healthcare chain in Qatar, is planning to add more specialty services and second tier tertiary services to the hospital, in addition to setting up a few more medical centres.
This was stated by Chief Executive Officer of Aster DM Healthcare in Qatar Sameer Moopan at a recent press conference held to announce the 15th year of its operation in Qatar.
Moopan said:"This occasion serves as a unique opportunity to acknowledge the contribution by people who helped us to reach this stage. Every Friday, we arrange free medical check-up in the Industrial Area for the low-income people. These medical camps have become a permanent feature of the organisation. All our employees have to put in a minimum of 10 hours of community work monthly."
Aster started its operations in Msheireb in Doha in March 2003 with the first private polyclinic currently operates six medical centres, seven pharmacies, one diagnostic centre and a 50-bed hospital in Qatar.
Commenting on the occasion, the founder chairman of the group Azad Moopen said:"We shall continue our efforts to reach out to the people in various geographies, through our social commitments and our Aster volunteers CSR programme launched coinciding with our anniversary and our operations in Qatar shall continue their efforts to increase the number of beneficiaries through this programme."
Others who attended the press conference were Nasser Moopen, medical director and chief of medical staff, and Kapil Chib, chief operating officer, Aster Hospital in Doha.
