The Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), under the aegis of the Embassy of India, hosted an iftar event titled ‘Iftar for her’, for underprivileged women on March 31.

The event was managed and executed by the ICC Women’s Forum at ICC’s Ashoka Hall. First Secretary of the Embassy of India Dr. Vaibhav Tandale and his wife Dr. Manisha Tandale were among the guests at the event.

ICC President A.P. Manikantan welcomed the attendees, while Dr. Vaibhav spoke about the importance of the holy month and wished everyone a healthy and happy Ramadan.

The underprivileged women, including domestic workers, were felicitated by Dr. Vaibhav and the ICC Managing Committee on this occasion.

ICC Vice President Subramanya Hebbagelu, General Secretary Mohan Kumar, other apex body presidents, President of ICC Women’s Forum Nandini Abbagouni, members of the ICC and ICC Women’s Forum managing committees apart from a large number of community leaders attended the event making it a memorable one.
